Last month, ERA Asia Pacific invited consultants from around the region for their 26th annual conference. The event spanned across two and a half days, featuring an agenda that was jam-packed with engaging content and activities.

Day 1

The APAC Managing Director, David Rounsevell, welcomed the team to South Australia and spoke about the themes of mateship and community embodied by the people of the Barossa. The event focused on how we can leverage our strong connections within ERA to get the job done, just like how the Barossa community have always lent a hand to help each other for over 150 years.

Our Global Head of Marketing, Paolo Massimilla, travelled all the way from the Head Office in the UK to remind us about the Value Through Insight we can bring to our clients and introduce ERA’s new virtual reality (VR) marketing.

The mood was lightened when our consultants competed in the Marshmallow Challenge, putting their engineering and collaboration skills to the test.

Day 2

Andrew Slimming and Chris Colbert presented workshops alongside David Rounsevell, centred around the topics of delivery, client management and client acquisition.

Our consultants participated in category round tables, sharing their industry insights and expertise to leverage knowledge with each other.

Day 3

After the final workshop was delivered on Friday morning, the consultants discussed the key takeaways of the conference.

Friday afternoon was when all the fun began. The network divided into two groups, embarking on separate food and wine tours, visiting renowned local wineries, an artisan cheese shop and a chocolate factory.

Dinner & Award Night

The conference ended with a spectacular evening at 1847 Wines, featuring antipasto and drinks on the front lawns of Chateau Yaldara, followed by a shared meal with local and seasonal produce.

David presented awards to franchisees and staff, recognising their efforts and dedication to the business over the past year.

It was a big surprise to David when the Marketing Team presented him with The Chairman Award! Paolo handed the award and a certificate to David on behalf of our Founder & Chairman, Fred Marfleet.

Our consultants finished the evening by celebrating with some world-famous wines, socialising and dancing.
